Strong like a tree, powerful as the ocean. You were never loud, never one for many words — yet your presence filled every space with calm, with strength, with quiet love. Like the trees we look up to for guidance, like the ocean we look at for peace, you grounded those around you simply by being.

This collection is my most personal one — born from loss, love, and the need to find balance again. While preparing for a major exhibition in Lisbon, life shifted unexpectedly: my father passed away. For a while, I felt lost in grief, unable to create. But slowly, painting became my way back — not as a task, but as a form of healing. With every brushstroke, I felt a deep sense of grounding — the same energy that always surrounded my father. Solid, steady, like a tree, like the ocean, like a rock.

This body of work is dedicated to him, and to all fathers — to those who are our roots and our anchors, our oceans and our rocks. What endures is the love.

The works carry the subtle forces of nature — the hidden and the seen. Stones buried under sand, roots woven deep beneath the soil, cliffs standing as silent guardians by the sea. Through layers of texture and color, I translate these elements into form: black for the stones below, green for the trees whose strength lies unseen, blue for the ocean meeting the shore, and ochre for the cliffs that hold it all together.

It is a meditation on presence — quiet, steady, eternal.
