I believe art and ritual hold presence - a quiet reflection of nature’s timeless rythms.

Gesa Ida is a visual artist based between Zurich, Switzerland and Ericeira, Portugal. She is the founder of studio amaré, inspired by her deep connection to the ocean and its energy.

Her multidisciplinary practice unfolds through abstract painting, ceramics and sound experiences, each exploring presence, energy, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Shaped by the sea and its subtle cycles, her work incorporates elements such as clay, sand, water, and shells — creating objects that invite stillness, reflection, and connection.

Having spent the past five years in Portugal, Gesa Ida has been deeply influenced by its landscape, light and rhythms. This life by the ocean continues to guide her artistic language, where material and intuition meet in a slow and intentional process.

Alongside her visual work, she has developed a growing interest in sound and reiki as sensory extensions of her practice — offering moments that go beyond the object and into experience.

studio amaré is rooted in the belief that everything moves in cycles, and that art can serve as a gentle return to the present moment: manifesting the calm and presence through art, objects, and ritual inspired by nature.
